This soft pullover sweater was made in the 80s to promote Newport brand cigarettes. The sweater is made from a lovely acrylic material in a wonderful shade of kelly green, and it features the old Newport slogan, "Alive with Pleasure". After the Public Health Cigarette Smoking Act banned television and radio commercials for cigarettes, Newport had to get more creative with their advertising. They tweaked their "Newport Pleasure" slogan to "Alive with Pleasure", to make the product sound more vivacious and inviting.
