This sweet t-shirt is a souvenir from the Universal Studios Tour in Hollywood, and it promotes Photon "The ultimate game on planet Earth". Photon was one of the earliest commercial laser tag games, and it was developed by George Carter III, who took inspiration from the original 1977 Star Wars. A home version of the game hit the markets in 1986, right alongside its competitor Lazer Tag, and both became one of the hottest selling toys of the Christmas season.
This shirt promotes the Photon Laser Gallery that was opened at Universal Studios in 1987. It was the largest of several Photon game centers across the US, and the first one to be opened in Southern California. The gallery offered a high tech and immersive space for Universal guests to play the game. Players were split into two teams, and they could compete in six minute long matches just steps away from where K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider was housed on the upper lot.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. There are a few tiny holes along the seams, see pics.
