This awesome double-sided concert tee is for the band Slayer, and it commemorates their World Sacrifice Tour from 1988. That year the group released their fourth studio album, South of Heaven. Once again, the band collaborated with producer Rick Rubin, and the album was released by his label Def Jam Recordings. South of Heaven actually became one of two records from Def Jam, that was distributed by Geffen rather than Columbia Records, the other being the group's previous release, Reign in Blood. Columbia had initially refused to release the band's music thanks to the song "Angel of Death", which detailed some of the atrocities experienced at Holocaust concentration camps.

At the time of its release, South of Heaven became the band's most commercially successful album, peaking at the number 57 spot on the Billboard 200. However, the album did have a notably different tone their previous releases. Knowing that South of Heaven would be compared to Reign in Blood, the band purposefully chose to try something different. They intentionally slowed down the album's tempo and also chose to use more undistorted guitars and toned down vocals.
