This awesome double-sided ringer commemorates the 1994 album Ill Communication from the Beastie Boys. The Beastie Boys were one of the most notable musical acts to emerge out of the 1980s, releasing seven platinum albums between 1986 and 2004. The group is often categorized as a hip hop act, but their music bridges a variety of genres taking inspiration from rock, punk, jazz, and funk as well.

Ill Communication was the follow up to Check Your Head, and much like this previous album, it saw the group continuing to venture away from sampling and more towards incorporating live instruments into their music. One of the group's most famous hits emerged out of Ill Communication, the song "Sabotage", which featured a mix of both traditional rock instrumentation and turntable scratches.

The song's lasting influence was largely thanks to its iconic music video directed by Spike Jonze. The video used to air extensively on MTV, and it was shot as a parody of 1970s crime shows like Hawaii Five-O, S.W.A.T., and Starsky and Hutch. The farciful video was definitely in line with the band's outlandish humor, and actress Amy Poehler once noted the "Sabotage" video's lasting impact on comedy saying, "there would be no Anchorman, no Wes Anderson, no Lonely Island" without it.
