This cool tee celebrates the classic comedy series Get Smart, which first aired on NBC in the 1960s. The show was designed to parody the spy thrillers which were especially popular during the early part of the decade. At the time, the release of the James Bond films sparked an interest in other secret agent stories, and show creators Buck Henry and Mel Brooks chose to capitalize off this with their own comedic take on the genre. The show starred Don Adams as the titular Maxell Smart, Barbara Feldon as Agent 99, and Edward Platt as the Chief.

While the original Get Smart debuted in 1965, this shirt is copyright 1993, just two years before Fox launched a short-lived sequel series. This continuation followed the adventures of Max's son, Zach Smart, who was portrayed by Andy Dick.
