This amazing tee was made to celebrate the life of the legendary guitarist, Jimi Hendrix. Widely considered the greatest rock guitarist of all time, the back of this shirt has the musician's full name, James Marshall Hendrix, and the dates he was alive, from 1942-1970. Sadly Hendrix died at the young age of  twenty-seven, making him member of the Forever Twenty-Seven Club. He was one of the first musicians to join this informal list of late celebrities, and his death came around the same time as fellow members Brian Jones, Janis Joplin, and Jim Morrison.

While Hendrix's music career only lasted a few year in the 60s, he has remained a cultural icon. His legacy is especially remembered thanks to his featured performances at two of the biggest concerts of the era, the Woodstock Festival and the Monterey Pop Festival.
