This sweet shirt is a fake college tee designed to rep one of the most iconic settings in the history of cosmic horror, Miskatonic University. Miskatonic is a fictional school created by the renowned horror author H.P. Lovecraft. The school was first featured in the serialized short story "Herbert West- Reanimator", which was published in the pulp magazine Home Brew. The school served as the setting for West's twisted experiments with the dead, and was later featured in several other Cthulhu Mythos stories written by Lovecraft.

Miskatonic continues to live in infamy among horror fans, thanks to several modern adaptations of Lovecraft's work. The college served as the primary setting for the cult classic Stuart Gordon's Re-Animator, and was also referenced in another film adaption directed by Gordon, From Beyond.
