This cool tee features a colorful puffy paint graphic promoting the 1991 film, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. The movie starred Kevin Costner in the titular role, and it was directed by Kevin Reynolds, who would also go on to work with Costner in Waterworld . Other cast members included Morgan Freeman as Azeem, Christian Slater as Will Scarlett, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio as Marian, and the late great Alan Rickman as the Sheriff of Nottingham.  

Critics' opinions on the film were mixed, and Reynolds grew increasingly frustrated from the studio's demands for heavy editing sessions. Apparently Warner Bros. had concerns about Rickman stealing the show, and the movie did wind up earning Rickman a BAFTA for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, while Costner ended up with a Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actor. Despite this, the movie was a commercial success, and the second highest grossing film of 1991, just after Terminator 2: Judgment Day. It also often remembered for its Grammy Award-winning theme, "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" by Bryan Adams, which was also nominated for an Academy Award.
