This amazing double-sided band t-shirt is for the Smashing Pumpkins and the tee commemorates the group's fourth studio album, Adore which was released in 1998. By this point in time, The Smashing Pumpkins had easily become one of the iconic and best-selling bands of the 1990s. Adore was the follow up to their wildly successful Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness which included some of the band's most well known hits such as "Bullet with Butterfly Wings", "1979", "Tonight, Tonight", and "Thirty-Three". Because of this success, Adore was one of the most anticipated albums of 1998, however the band was facing a myriad of interpersonal problems during recording. Lead singer, Billy Corgan, was also coping with a divorce and the recent death of his mother.

These issues resulted in Adore having a much more melancholy and electronica-influenced style than their previous releases. Fans were divided on the album, although it was well-received by critics and earned Smashing Pumpkins their third Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Performance.

The album was supported by a scaled-back world tour that only consisted of 14 shows. The set list on tour consisted primarily of songs off the new album, with a few reworked tracks from Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, but the band didn't perform any songs from before 1995, eliminating a good number of fan favorites. All of the ticket sales for their US tour dates were donated to local charities and overall the band was able to raise over $2.8 million this way.
