This awesome tee proudly says, "Powered by Oly", in reference to the slogan used by the Olympia Brewing Company during the 1970s. Founded all the way back in 1896 in Tumwater, Washington, Olympia beer became a popular regional brand before it was expanded nationwide. Olympia's expansion gave it a notable edge over competitors such as Coors in the 70s, as the latter was not granted nationwide distribution until the mid-80s.

Another thing which helped boost the popularity of Olympia Beer in the 70s, was a sponsorship deal that they struck with the famous daredevil Evel Knieval. During certain motorcycle stunts, Knieval would deploy a parachute that was boldly emblazoned with the Olympia Beer logo.
