This vintage tuxedo features a stylish long tail coat with three buttons going down each side. The tuxedo jacket has satin facing on the lapels and includes a single chest pocket. The back of the jacket meanwhile features a fun joke. The black jacket is printed with yellow lettering which reads, "Mo's Tuxedo Rentals" in what appears to be spray painted stenciled lettering.
The band members of Foghat wore these to a party in the late 70s / early 80s with the stencil on the back as a joke that none of them owned a tuxedo or knew how to dress up for a fancy affair. This is the tux set worn by Craig MacGregor, bassist for Foghat!
The jacket fits like a modern adult 36. The pants fit a modern adult 30 waist.
This item is from the estate of Craig MacGregor, the bassist for the band Foghat in the 1970s, 80s, and again in the 2000’s. The item was owned by Craig, a collector of t-shirts, and stored for some time in a basement before it came into our possession. As a result there may be some lingering basement odor. All items are authentic pieces of rock and roll history and in many cases are one-of-a-kind. Further authentication and chain-of-custody can be provided upon request.
