This sweet shirt displays a graphic of Chief Joseph who was the leader of the Wallowa band of the Nez Perce Tribe. He and the band became famous for leading their people across the rocky mountains. In 1877 he and his people were forced by violence and governmental pressures to move from his ancestral lands in Wallowa land in Oregan. After fighting the federal troops at the Canadian border near Montana they were taken to a reservation in present day Oklahoma. This tee is a great reminder of the fight of the Native Americans to protect their homeland.
