This awesome tee promotes the celebrated automotive service chain Pep Boys, and it features the company's founders and mascots Emanuel "Manny" Rosenfeld, Maurice "Moe" Strauss, and W. Graham "Jack" Jackson. The company actually began as a small auto parts store in Philadelphia called Pep Auto Supply. There was also a fourth founder, Moe Radavitz, who's rarely remembered, as he cashed out of his share of the venture before the name was changed to The Pep Boys.
Founded in 1921, The Pep Boys was one of the few businesses to flourish during the Great Depression. Its owners had managed to avoid incurring massive business debts, and they also didn't lay off or cut the salaries of their employees. Instead Manny's brother, Murray Rosenfeld opened the first West Coast Pep Boys location, and the company continued to grow, eventually upping their store count to more than 7000 by the 1980s.
