This wonderful shirt features a portrait of the iconic Elizabeth Taylor, an acclaimed actress from the Golden Age of Hollywood, and the back includes a famous quote from the star, which reads, "I've been through it all, baby. I'm Mother Courage." Taylor was born in England, but she moved to America at the age of seven and began her Hollywood career just a few years later. Considered one of the last great stars of classic Hollywood cinema, Taylor is remembered for her roles in films like National Velvet, Giant, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and Cleopatra.
Taylor was also one of the first celebrities to become involved in activism for those affected by HIV and AIDS, a bold move amidst the panic surrounding the AIDS epidemic. Alongside Michael Gottlieb, she co-founded the National AIDS Research Foundation, after it was announced that her friend and former co-star Rock Hudson was afflicted by the disease.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. This shirt is distressed with spots and holes throughout, see pics.
