This cool shirt celebrates the Improv comedy club franchise, a chain that proudly touts itself as "America's original comedy showcase". This particular tee comes from the Improv location in Cleveland, Ohio. Since the Improv's expansion in the 70s, the chain has hosted pretty much every big name in comedy at, at least one of their venues. Billy Crystal, George Carlin, Freddie Prinze, Joan Rivers, and Andy Kaufman are just a handful of the comedians that have performed at the Improv.
