This awesome tee commemorates the visual effects shoot that was used to create the complex action sequences in the movies The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. Serving as the second and third films in the original Matrix trilogy, the two sequels were shot simultaneously with the majority of filming taking place at Fox Studios in Australia. However, the front of this tee bears the message "No Brawling" likely in honor of the franchise's famous "Burly Brawl" scene, in which the hero Neo must fight an army of 100 Agent Smiths. This iconic scene was shot at the decommissioned Naval Air Station Alameda in California, and it required the development of new visual effects technology.
After the success of The Matrix, directors Lilly and Lana Wachowski were determined to deliver even more impressively difficult action sequences for the sequels. To do this, Warner Bros launched a new VFX studio called ESC Entertainment, and they developed a process called "Universal Capture". This new technique revolutionized the visual effects industry and was integral to creating the franchise's mind bending stunts.
