This cool vintage tee pays tribute to the 1992 MLB expansion draft, which was held during the off-season to help two newly formed teams build up their roster prior to their National League debuts. The MLB chose to create two new expansion teams for the 1993 season, the Florida Marlins based out of Miami and the Colorado Rockies based out of Denver. This expansion draft was subsequently staged in New York City to allow the two teams to stack their roster, and unlike previous expansion drafts, prospects from both the American and the National League were eligible for selection.
