This shirt instead features the Boos Brothers, two ghost character spoofs. The Blues Brothers began as a recurring musical sketch on Saturday Night Live, and the film featured cameos from famous singers like James Brown, Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Chaka Kahn and John Lee Hooker. Interestingly, Aykroyd would later go on to write and star in the ghost-themed comedy Ghostbusters. Aykroyd originally intended for the film to be a project for both him and Belushi, but the latter died before its completion. Aykroyd still included the character Slimer in the film, who was humorously inspired by Belushi.
