This amazing tee showcases the Clown Prince of Crime, The Joker, who is the arch-nemesis of the beloved DC Comics superhero, Batman. This comic book villain made his debut in 1940, and he was initially just supposed to be a one-off character, but editorial intervention led to him becoming one of the most infamous super villains in the history of comics.
Over the years, the Joker has been re-interpreted and portrayed by a number of iconic actors, including Joaquin Phoenix and Heath Ledger. This shirt is copyright 1989, the same year that Jack Nicholson gave a scene-stealing portrayal of the character in Tim Burton's live action Batman. The success of the film led to the development of Batman: The Animated Series, in which the Joker was expertly voiced by Mark Hamill of the Star Wars franchise.
