This awesome tee promotes the 1995 Batman movie, Batman Forever, which starred Val Kilmer as the titular caped crusader. This was the first of two Batman films directed by Joel Schumacher in the 90s, and it was intended to be a sequel to Tim Burton's Batman Returns from 1992. However, Schumacher's Batman was far different from Burton's, as the director chose abandon the dark tones of the previous films and instead take inspiration  from the more colorful early days of Batman comics, as well as the 1960s television series. Aside from Kilmer, the movie also starred Chris O'Donnell as Robin, Jim Carrey as the Riddler, and Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face.

Batman Forever set a record for Warner Bros.' largest opening weekend, and it even became the second highest grossing film of the year, just after Toy Story. Although some fans were disappointed by this new cinematic take on Batman, other fans reveled in the movie's over-the-top camp. Audiences were particularly delighted by Jones and Carrey's portrayal of the villains, although the pair reportedly did not get along on set.
