This cool vintage shirt is for the sixth feature film in the Star Trek universe, titled Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. This 1991 release, was directed by Nicholas Meyer, the same creative mind behind one of the franchise's most popular films, The Wrath of Khan. The initial idea for this sixth installment was a prequel featuring younger actors playing the future crew of the USS Enterprise, but the premise was changed after a negative reaction by fans. Leonard Nimoy helped writers Lawrence Konner and Mark Rosenthal to come up with a new story starring the cast of Star Trek: The Original Series, including William Shatner, DeForest Kelley, Walter Koenig, Nichelle Nichols, James Doohan, George Takei, and Nimoy himself.

The movie wound up receiving two Oscar nominations, one for Best Makeup and th other for Best Sound Effects. The Undiscovered Country also remains the only Star Trek movie to have earned a Saturn Award for Best Science Fiction Film.
