This sweet tie-dyed t-shirt is for the legendary English rock band Pink Floyd and the shirt celebrates one of the band's most famous albums, The Dark Side of the Moon. Although the shirt showcases the iconic rainbow and prism graphic featured on the 1973 album, this tee is from the 80s after Richard Wright departed from the band and around the time that Roger Waters also departed, due to personal tensions between the other members.

The Dark Side of the Moon was Pink Floyd's eighth studio album and it was a concept album that explored themes like conflict, greed, time, death, and mental illness. The band wrote the album around the pressures that they faced as musicians and the mental health problems that were suffered by former band member Syd Barrett, who left the group in 1968. For the record, the band employed mulitrack recording, tape loops, and analogue synthesizers to create the album's unique and haunting sounds. The result was one of the most critically acclaimed albums in the history of rock and roll. The album rocketed the group to international fame and it propelled record sales throughout the remainder of the 70s. Almost every track off the album is notable but just a few include "The Great Gig in the Sky", "Us and Them", and "Any Colour You Like".

The iconic packaging for the album was created by the famous English design group Hipgnosis, who had also worked with iconic bands like Black Sabbath, T. Rex, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Genesis, and Styx. The band requested a simple and classy design for the album cover, and Hipgnosis members Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey Powell drew inspiration from a photograph of a prism with a colored beam projected through it.
