This awesome tee was made to promote the sequel to the classic boxing movie Rocky, Rocky II. This film saw Sylvester Stallone reprise his role as the title character Rocky Balboa, also known as the Italian Stallion, a working class Italian American from Philadelphia. Other actors that also reprised their roles from the previous film included Talia Shire, Burt Young, Carl Weathers, and Burgess Meredith.

The plot of Rocky II picks up right where its predecessor left off, just after Balboa's match against Apollo Creed.  Following his split decision victory, Creed attempts to coax Rocky into a rematch to prove his dominance, but Rocky is more interested in enjoying a quiet life with his wife Adrian. Fans of the first film were excited to see whether Rocky would succumb to a rematch, and the movie wound up being the third highest grossing film in North America in 1979, just after Kramer vs. Kramer and The Amityville Horror.
