This sweet vintage sweatshirt pays tribute to the 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit, which was released through Disney's Touchstone Pictures. Who Framed Roger Rabbit was an Academy Award winning film, that was praised for its innovative blend of both live action and animated elements. The movie depicted a murder mystery that took place in an alternate version of 1947 Hollywood, where humans and cartoon characters co-existed.

Post-production on the film lasted for fourteen months, in order to achieve the addition of the animated characters. Who Framed Roger Rabbit was made during a time before computer animation and digital compositing, this meant that the animators had to use cels. The artists were given printouts of the live-action scenes and then drew directly on top of the images to decide how the animated characters would interact with the live footage. The result was a beloved film that earned a Special Achievement Academy Award dedicated to the animation direction of Richard Williams. Williams was also known for his unfinished animated masterpiece The Thief and the Cobbler.
