This sweet 80s t-shirt was made in support of Action for Nuclear Disarmament, also known as A.N.D. The Cold War arms race generated a lot of unrest among the US, and many Americans opposed the war and organized for disarmament. The largest gathering for disarmament, and the largest political demonstration in U.S. history, was held in 1982 in New York City's Central Park, and an estimated one million demonstrators were in attendance. The back of this tee reads, "The future is in our hands."
