This awesome vintage tee honors the legacy of  human rights activist, Malcolm X, and it includes the quote "The main thing we want... is a solution." Malcolm X is often remembered as one of the pivotal figures in African American history, and he was particularly inspiring to those who weren't satisfied with the work of the mainstream civil rights movement. Throughout his life, Malcolm X was a vocal advocate for Black nationalism, and he felt that racial justice could be better achieved through Black separatism. While he eventually stopped promoting separatism, his views still made him an icon of Black solidarity and empowerment, a legacy that continues to this day.

This shirt was made in the 90s, many years after Malcolm X's assassination, but during a time when his legacy was bolstered by pop culture. He became an icon of popular hip hop groups like Public Enemy, and in 1992 the film Malcolm X was released, which was an adaptation of The Autobiography of Malcolm X.
