This sweet shirt promotes the Japanese electronics company, Maxell. While the manufacturer later came to be known for their batteries, wireless chargers, and storage devices, Maxell also used to be a popular producer of audio cassettes and blank VHS tapes.

This shirt features the slogan "It's good for your heads", but Maxell is perhaps best remembered for an 80s ad campaign that was referred to as "Blown Away Guy". This campaign promoted their cassette tapes and it began with a two-page spread in Rolling Stone magazine. The advertisement depicted a man clutching desperately to an armchair, so as not to be blown back by the incredible sound produced by the audio accuracy of Maxell's tapes.
