This amazingly unique tee features a cartoon graphic of Robo Katt and labels the robotic feline as "the future of rock and roll". This shirt was most likely made to advertise KATT-FM, a commercial radio station from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Known as ROCK 100.5 the KATT, the station gained popularity in the 70s when it began broadcasting a progressive rock format, that appealed to listeners looking for something different than rock music typically broadcast on Top 40 stations.

This shirt is copyright 1988, a year after the blockbuster action film Robocop made its debut. It's very likely this shirt was made to promote the station by parodying the popular summer flick. The slogan on the tee even spoofs one of the taglines from the movie which referred to Robocop as "the future of law enforcement".

The tag says extra large but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult large. There is a spot on the front, see pics.
