This awesome tee is a vintage souvenir that celebrates the opening day of what was originally known as EPCOT Center. Epcot was the second theme park to become part of the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, and its name was initially conceived as an acronym that stood for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. Before his death, Walt Disney had dreams of creating a utopian company town, but this concept was later deemed too impractical. Instead the idea was re-purposed into an amusement park themed around human achievement.

This shirt includes the caption, "the 21st century begins October 1, 1982" referencing the day the park opened to the public. The graphic also features a view of Spaceship Earth, the park's landmark attraction which is housed inside of a massive geodesic sphere.
