This cool tee was made back in the 1970s to celebrate the sport of dirt biking. The shirt shows a motocross rider with the words "Do it in the dirt". As motocross racing gained steady popularity throughout the 60s and 70s, graphics like these became more and more popular on tees, particularly from apparel companies like Roach, who took a lot of inspiration from hot rod culture and motor sports. The 70s saw the birth of the first ever AMA Motocross Championships, sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association.

The phrase "Do It in the Dirt" was also used as the title of a low budget comedy film about off-road motorcycle racing in the 70s. While the movie was filmed and copyrighted in 1979, it was never actually distributed. One of the people involved in the movie was Frank Sinatra's son, Frank Sinatra Jr.

Fits like a modern unisex adult large. This shirt is soft and distressed with small spots and holes throughout, as well as some wear around the collar, see pics.
