This 1970s long sleeve pocket tee is most likely from Grog's Surf Palace, a now closed surf shop in Seaside Park, New Jersey. Grog's Surf Palace was associated with legendary east coast surfer Greg Mesanko. The surfing hall-of-famer, along with his surf team, is credited for popularizing surf culture in the 50s and 60s at the boardwalk amusement park Casino Pier. The film A Life Outside, directed by Catherine Brabec, documents Greg Mesanko and 5 of his peers' passion filled journey bringing the sport to the beaches of New Jersey.
