This awesome graphic tee is a keepsake from the Washington D.C. Reggae Festival. The first D.C. Reggae Festival was held in 1982. It was a collaboration between the Washington D.C., Reggae Festival Inc. and WPFW-FM, a local radio station. WPFW-FM specialized in jazz music but also played blues, soul, and world music. The Reggae Festival was held at Malcom X Park and featured four artists; Spliff, Determination, Unconquered People, and The Might Invaders. Unconquered People was a local band, led by Jamaican-born musician Errol "Honey Boy" Martin who had moved to the city a decade prior.
