This shirt is from the band Soul Asylum's 1989 EP Clam Dip & Other Delights. The name and cover art of this EP was a spoof on Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass's album Whipped Cream & Other Delights. Herb Alpert was the co-founder of A&M Records, who had just signed Soul Asylum.

The band really achieved mainstream success with their 1992 album Grave Dancers Union, and particularly the song "Runaway Train". The song became an anthem for finding missing children, with a video featuring the names and pictures of lost kids.

Filmmaker Kevin Smith became a huge fan of Soul Asylum and had the band contribute to Clerks I and Clerks II. Frontman of the band Dave Pirner even wrote the score for Smith's 1997 film Chasing Amy.
