This awesome vintage band t-shirt is for the American heavy metal band Van Halen and the tee celebrates the group's eighth studio album called OU812. The album was released in 1988 and it was their second release to feature their new vocalist Sammy Hagar, who had replaced David Lee Roth. Just like its predecessor, 5150, the album managed to peak at the number one spot on the Billboard 200. It wound up being the second of four consecutive albums for the band to reach number one. The album also included four top 40 singles "Black and Blue", "Finish What Ya Started", "When It's Love", and "Feels So Good".
Van Halen was first formed in Pasadena in 1973, and they quickly gained popularity for their energetic live shows and talented lead guitarist Eddie Van Halen. When disagreements over the artistic direction of the band caused Roth to split, the band considered several replacements before landing on former Montrose vocalist, Sammy Hagar. Hagar's time with the band lead to several multi-platinum albums before he departed in 1996.
The band continued to release and record music until 2012 and their record sales haven't waned much over time. They are one of the best-selling bands of all time with more than 80 million records sold and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. This shirt is very soft and thin with several holes and runs, see pics.
