This awesome long sleeved shirt celebrates the Southern California punk band Pennywise, and the back graphic gives a nod to their birthplace of Hermosa Beach. The group was formed in 1988, and they took their name from the infamous clown featured in Stephen King's It. This shirt was made in the 90s, the same decade that Pennywise released their debut studio album. From 1991 to 2005, the band managed to release a new album every two years through their contract with Brett Gurewitz's Epitaph Records.
In 1995, the group released the album About Time, which became their first record to chart on the Billboard 200. It was also the last album to feature founding bassist Jason Thirsk, who died the following year after a struggle with alcoholism and depression. The band's next album, Full Circle, was subsequently dedicated to the memory of their late friend. This record featured a re-recorded version of the song "Bro-Hymn". This new version was renamed "Bro-Hymn (tribute)" and it has since become one of the band's most popular songs.
Fits like a modern unisex adult Extra Large. This shirt is soft, faded, and distressed with several holes, see pics.
