This sweet shirt promotes Airwolf, a military drama that aired in the 1980s. Like a lot of film and television from the decade, Airwolf took inspiration from the ongoing Cold War, and episodes involved espionage-filled missions that were aided by the a supersonic helicopter dubbed Airwolf.  

The series starred Jan-Michael Vincent and ran for three seasons before it was canceled. However, USA Network revived the show for a fourth season, as they wanted to increase the series' length so it would be eligible for broadcast syndication. This final season featured an entirely new cast of characters, and stock footage had to be used, as the production crew no longer had access to the modified Bell 222 helicopter that originally was used to portray the titular Airwolf.
