This awesome double-sided tour shirt is for the rock band Bon Jovi from the tour promoting their third studio album Slippery When Wet. The album was released by Mercury Records and produced by Bruce Fairbairn, who would also produce the band's next album New Jersey. The record featured some of Bon Jovi's most iconic songs including "You Give Love a Bad Name", "Livin' on a Prayer", and "Wanted Dead or Alive". It was a huge commercial success, peaking at the top spot on the Billboard 200, going certified 12x Platinum, and rightfully earning its place as Bon Jovi's best-selling album.
Slippery When Wet was the group's breakout album, and in order to pick the best tracks the band wrote 30 songs and then auditioned them for local New Jersey and New York teenagers. The resulting winners were chosen to make up the tracklist. Meanwhile, the album's name, Slippery When Wet, was inspired by a trip to the No.5 Orange Strip Club in Vancouver, British Columbia. The original cover for the album was supposed to include a busty woman in a soaking wet yellow tee, but it was swapped out due to the fear that major record store chains would refuse to carry something so racy and objectifying.
Fits like a modern unisex adult Extra Large. There are several holes and light spots on the front, see pics.
