This awesome shirt is deadstock from the 80s and still in its original sealed packaging. It shows off an amazing piece of cover art that was drawn by Arthur Adams and used for the Marvel comic Classic X-Men #19. Because Classic X-Men was a reprint series that showcased stories originally published in the 60s and 70s, issue #19 was actually a reprint of the storyline "Showdown!" from X-Men #113. This issue of X-Men was first published in 1978, and as the cover art implies, it featured an epic battle between the titular superhero team and their longtime adversary, Magneto.
Not only that, but issue #19 of Classic X-Men also featured the story "I, Magneto" which depicted key elements of Magneto's nuanced backstory. Often praised as one of Marvel's greatest villains, a large part of what makes Magneto so compelling is his complexity. The storyline in "I, Magneto" recounted the future villain's time working as a nazi-hunting government agent and the abuse he suffered from his handlers. Written by Chris Claremont, the story emphasized the circumstances that shaped Magneto into such a cynical, yet oddly sympathetic mastermind.
Marked as a unisex adult Extra Large. This shirt comes new, unworn in a sealed package. Because of this measurements can not be provided. This shirt is final sale and not eligible for returns. A portion of the seal has been broken along the side, see pics.
