This awesome button front jersey is for 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks, the production company that was founded by the acclaimed filmmakers Spike Lee and Monty Ross. The pair met at Morehouse College and also took mass media courses together at what came to be known as Clark Atlanta University. 40 Acres eventually became the company that Lee used to produce all of his theatrical films, starting with She's Gotta Have It in 1986.

In 1989, Lee released what many consider to be his seminal film, Do the Right Thing and the movie's success helped to expand the 40 Acres brand. Spike's Joint was opened in Brooklyn the following year, a clothing store that sold 40 Acres branded apparel, and solidified Spike Lee's influence on film, pop culture, and urban fashion. 40 Acres has also continued to produce films in the 21st Century, ones that continue to highlight the unique concerns of black community. In 2025, they released Highest 2 Lowest, which was based on the Akira Kurosawa film High and Low, and they also released a documentary series about the ongoing impact of Hurricane Katrina.

Fits like a modern unisex adult oversized Extra Large. There are some spots and discoloration throughout, see pics.
