This awesome vintage movie tee was made by the company Serial Killer in the 90s, and the shirt features a graphic and quote from the 1979 war film, Apocalypse Now. The movie was directed by Francis Ford Coppola and adapted from the novella Heart of Darkness written by Joseph Conrad. Against the backdrop of the Vietnam War, the movie tells the story of American soldier, Captain Benjamin L. Willard as he journeys into Cambodia to assassinate a renegade Green Beret, Colonel Kurtz, who has been deemed insane. Widely regarded as one of the greatest films ever made, Apocalypse Now was nominated for eight Academy Awards and starred Martin Sheen and Marlon Brando as Willard and Kurtz.

The scene depicted on this shirt features the quote "Charlie Don't Surf". During the scene when the line is spoken, the character of Kilgore played by Robert Duvall, instructs a subordinate to retrieve a surfboard from a location known as "Charlie Beach". The subordinate is wary that Vietcong may be lurking nearby but Kilgore insists the beach is safe via this now famous movie line.
