This sweet double sided tee is for the HBO prison drama Oz, which was created by Tom Fontana. Oz began airing in 1997, and it was set in a fictional men's prison called the Oswald State Correctional Facility. While the show was named for the nickname given to the prison, its title was also one of several references to the novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum.

The show was the first one-hour drama series to be produced by HBO, and its critical success opened the door for other gripping series like The Sopranos, The Wire, and Six Feet Under. The show didn't shy away from the brutal realities of prison life, and it utilized its spot on premium cable to include elements like violence, drug use, and nudity. The series ran for six seasons, and some of its main cast included Ernie Hudson, J.K. Simmons, Eamonn Walker, Rita Moreno, and Harold Perrineau.
