This awesome band tee features a vibrant graphic celebrating Porno for Pyros, an alternative rock group founded by former Jane's Addiction members Perry Farrell and Stephen Perkins. The two formed the group following the dissolution of Jane's Addiction, and Farrell took inspiration for the band's name from a fireworks ad he saw in a porno magazine. The graphic on this tee depicts a matchbook and says "Bon Appetit", and the shirt is copyright 1993, the same year the band released their self-titled debut album.
The name of the band and this first album was also intended to be a reference to the 1992 Los Angeles riots, which were sparked after the unlawful treatment of Rodney King by the LAPD. The riots are mentioned throughout the album on songs like "Packin' .25", "Black Girlfriend", and the title track. Alongside Farrell and Perkins, this album featured the musical talents of Peter DiStefano and Martyn LeNoble, the latter of which would also play with Jane's Addiction after the band reunited.
