This amazing all over print tee honors a set of commemorative postage stamps that were issued by the USPS in 1993. The set consisted of five individual stamps that could be arranged to create a single science fiction scene depicting space travel. The stamps were created by fantasy illustrator Stephen Hickman, and they earned him a Hugo Award for Best Original Artwork.

The idea behind the 1993 Space Fantasy stamps was to create something that would appeal to the postal service's younger customers. Hickman was asked to design something retro futuristic, and he wound up drawing images that took inspiration from old 1930s sci fi comics like Buck Rogers.
