This awesome vintage shirt features an iron on graphic celebrating the popular science fiction franchise Star Wars. The shirt's graphic features an image of two of the characters, a pair of droids named R2D2 and C-3PO. The graphic is dated 1977, which is the year that the first Star Wars film was released. The movie, directed by George Lucas, was retroactively subtitled Episode IV: A New Hope after the franchise expanded to include multiple films.

Lucas originally had the idea for a science fiction epic in the same vein as Flash Gordon. The movie told the heroic story of Luke Skywalker, portrayed by Mark Hamill, an everyman type character who participated in the galactic fight against the evil Empire. The movie introduced a number of other colorful characters including Han Solo portrayed by Harrison Ford, Princess Leia played by Carrie Fisher, and the evil Sith lord Darth Vader voiced by James Earl Jones.

Fits like a modern unisex adult extra small.
