This awesome double-sided t-shirt celebrates the band Wings, which was formed by Paul McCartney and his wife Linda following the breakup of the Beatles. The two were joined by session drummer Denny Seiwell and former Moody Blues member Denny Laine, and while this lineup changed several times over the years, Laine and the McCartneys remained consistent members.
This shirt proudly says Wings Over America, which was the title given to the triple live album that the group recorded during the American leg of their Wings Over the World Tour. This concert tour marked McCartney's first time performing in North America, since he had appeared there in 1966 with the Beatles. The set list contained material from albums such as Band on the Run, Venus and Mars, and Wings at the Speed of Sound, as well as some of McCartney's old compositions from his time with the Beatles.
The tour's resulting live album was a hit in both the US and UK and it also earned a Grammy Award for Best Album Package. This honor was given to McCartney's production company MPL, and the British design group Hipgnosis, who were responsible for the cover image.
Fits like a modern unisex adult oversized medium. There are some spots on the front, see pics.
