This amazing mock neck t-shirt was made for the iconic Prince and his backing band The New Power Generation. This shirt is proudly emblazoned with the Love Symbol, which appeared on the cover of the artist's fourteenth studio album, released in 1992. The symbol was actually the unpronounceable title of the album, as well as Prince's stage name from 1993 to 2000. This infamous stunt was the singer's response to mistreatment from his label, Warner Bros. Records, who had trademarked his given name for promotional purposes. In order to use this new stage name in print, Warner Bros. had to mail out a massive collection of floppy disks, which contained a custom font.
While the success of the Love Symbol album paled in comparison to Prince's previous releases, this was only because of the smash hit success of his other records. The record did go platinum in both the US and the UK, and it featured several popular singles, which included "7", "Sexy MF", and "My Name is Prince".
Fits like a modern unisex adult over-sized Extra Large. There are several small holes, see pics.
