This amazing piece of 70s surfwear is a classic Hi Cru t-shirt from the brand Stedman. The origins of Stedman can be traced all the way back to the 1930s, and over the next few decades, Stedman established itself as a reliable manufacturer in the garment industry. By the 70s, their Hi Cru tees were favored by a number of the decade's emerging t-shirt printers. It actually wasn't until the mid 20th century that graphic tees became more common. Prior to that t-shirts were essentially restricted to undergarments or sportswear, and their popularity as a casual garment actually coincided with the rise of surf culture.
This shirt is quintessential 70s, with its double-sided, tropical themed graphics. Shirts like these could be easily found in surf shops, as were easy for surfers to throw on after a long day at the beach.
Fits like a modern unisex adult oversized small. There are tiny spots on the back and a hole near the chest pocket, see pics.
