This awesome pocket tee celebrates the 1978 San Diego State Folk Festival, an annual folk festival that used to be held at San Diego State University. The festival dates back to the late 60s, when it was brought to life by the school's Associated Students organization. For the 1978 edition of the festival, Delta blues guitarist Sam Chatmon was invited to headline. Chatmon was a member of the Mississippi Sheiks and an experienced festival performer. In addition to the San Diego State Folk Festival, Chatmon had also performed at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, the Mariposa Folk Festival, and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
