This awesome tee features a pop art portrait of Jose Rizal, the legendary Filipino nationalist who was an integral part of the Filipino Propaganda Movement of the late 1800s. Rizal is remembered for his writings that advocated for political reform and exposed the corruption of the Spanish colonial rule. Shortly after he founded the secret society La Liga Filipina, Rizal was arrested and banished to the City of Dapitan. He was later executed by the Spanish colonial government, after the Philippine Revolution broke out. Despite not being directly involved, it was recognized that the revolution had been inspired by his writings, and he is still revered as a national hero of the Philippines.

To honor his legacy, this shirt features the golden sun depicted on the Philippine flag. It also includes several insects, as a nod to the numerous natural species he helped study and identify during his time in Dapitan.

Fits like a modern unisex adult large. There is a spot on the right sleeve when wearing, see pics.
