This awesome double-sided tee reps the iconic rap rock group, the Beastie Boys, and it celebrates their fourth studio album, Ill Communication. Released in 1994, This was the Beastie Boys' second record produced through their vanity label, Grand Royal Records. It was also their second album to snag the top spot on the Billboard 200.
Ill Communication saw the Beastie Boys continue their gradual transition away from sampling, and more towards live instrumentals. The record included one of their most memorable singles, "Sabotage", whose success was partially thanks to its iconic music video directed by Spike Jonze. The music video received a lot of airtime on MTV, and it was designed to parody 1970s crime dramas like Hawaii Five-O, S.W.A.T., and Starsky and Hutch. The video wound up getting nominated for five different MTV Video Music Awards in 1994, although it lost every single category. However "Sabotage" did eventually score a win in 2009, when the video was granted a new award for "Best Video (That Should Have Won a Moonman)".
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. There is some light discoloration on the front and back, see pics.
